STANDINGS
Allstate 8-4 & 11-6 over Twins Note: scores not as close as they appear. Allstate hit, fielded;TL didn't

*
KK, so down after being downed 15-14 in 8 by PaP, scored 1 run in 6-1 2nd (hey Dave, be careful out there)
Green Thumb thumbs nose @ Renters holding them off 14-13 in 1st then scores late for a 17-9 win
*my GOD-Marrero's 11 in 7th for 18-18 tie; then VFW wins it with 3 in 8th 21-20. VFW wins 12-7 in 2nd
GT now 4-0; Marrero's 0-4. GT romps 25-6 after 11 runs in open inning. Solid 16-7 win in 2nd game.
Allstate 4-0 sweeping previously unbeaten PinchaPenny winning as easily as Day 1, 13-8 & 11-4
RW avoids double goose egg loss to Twins with 2 run 7th & a 9-2 loss after 13-0 5 inning loss in 1st.
VFW a 19-8 game 1 win. Then *my GOD: KK gets 7th inning lead 13-11, but VFW wins on HR, 14-13
GAME RESULTS:  Scores & a bit more (or a bit too much?)

NOTE: My GOD* is a reference to 'My Game oDay
Allstate dominates 18-3 then 20-4 over Rental World, both in 6 innings. Oh, Mercy Mercy me.
Twin Lakes cruise in two, 19-12 & 8-4 over Pinch a Penny
Marrero's a 24-4 game 1 jewel over decaffeinated Koffee Kup; A not very refreshing 7 up tie in 2nd.
Two 4-0 teams split with game 1 to VFW 16-10, after which the Thumbs thump the Vets 18-3.
Without Angels (and Mario) Twin Lakes takes VFW 10-9 then VFW dominates 13-5.
Marrero's tie una mas, 14-14 vs 'good hands people'. Una mas '14' for A's, 13 less than 14 for M's. Green Thumb 11-10, saved by Lazaro's illegal bat, then takes 2nd 12-6 win over Pinch a Penny
Rental World over Koffee Kup 5-3 & 13-10. Congrats to RW for 1st (then 2nd) win. Fri for KKup??
Game 1 of day's top matchup, 7-0 Allstate vs 6-2 VFW, provided my GOD as Staters score 3 in 7th for 13-12 lead yet lose 14-13; then VFW took 2nd for sweep 17-13. League leader Green Thumb predictably swept winless KKup but had to battle to do so 8-7 & 11-7. Two 2-6 teams, Pinchers & Renters left 2 games apart as PaP took RW apart 13-8 & 15-5. And the 4th twin-killing was Twin Lakes over Marrero's, Jewelers making 1st close,10-9, w/ 5 in 7th then
w/ 9 men lost 2nd 17-9. January can not come soon enough as besides Marrero's, KKup & Allstate played w/9 too.
my God was game 1 as Marrero's with 13 run lead over Pinch a Penny watched as PaP took 17-16 lead In 7th Jewelers get 1 run lead back then shut down Pennies for 18-17 win. Marrero's scores 18 again game 2 for 18-9 win. Twin Lakes took game 1 on 7-0 forfeit. Wepa to rescue as 9th player & KKup set up for 1st win down 10-9 but w/ winning runs on & 0 outs left them on. VFW took 2 from Rental World 17-7 & 15-8. Match of the Day, Allstate & Green Thumb split, Thumbs taking  nightcap 12-2 after good handers took 1st 9-7
JAN 8 MAKEUP GAMES OF DEC 13 RAINOUT:  Allstate splits with Twin Lake taking 1st 8 to 4 with Twin Lakes winning 2nd going away 13-5. Koffee Kup split with.Pinch A Penny in 2 tight ones - Koffee Kup 7-6 in game 1 after being down 5-1 & PaP 17-16 in 2nd answering KK's 5 run 6th with 5 of their to regain 1 run lead. Green Thumb thumbing their nose at the rest of us with 14-4 & 15-8 wins over Rental World. And hot Marrero's with a 4 game winning streak got to 5 with an 8-3 win over VFW. But down 10-9 in top of 7th of 2nd couldn't score & didn't get their 6th nor getting to .500 pct.
01/06/2020 - WELCOME BACK & WELCOME SNOWBIRDS : Twin Lakes won 2 wild ones against VFW 18-17 & 19-18 with a 12 run 6th to tie it 15-15. then scoring 4 to VFW's 3 in extras... OH 'MYGOD!'. Marrero's surprises Allstate sweeping 8-6 & 10-5. Green Thumb stays undefeated against under .500 teams beating Pinch a Penny 13-10 then 21-4 in a 6 inning knockout. Some strong Koffee in that Kup now that January has come, KK sweeping 2 and upping their win total from 1 to 3, taking first 12-9 and 2nd 8-5 over Rental World.
Match of the day 9-3 Twin Lakes & 10-2 Green Thumb turned out to be no match at all as offensive minded GT took 2, 10-8 & 14-5 with TL finding their strong defense offensive. MyGOD had to be either 8-7 games split by Rental World & Marrero's. Let's choose game 2 due to the dramatic as RW scored the winning run in 7th coming to bat down 7-2. Koffee Kup came up empty again all ground up by Allstate 12-2 & 14-5. VFW stingy not allowing Pinch a Penny a win, tho' not stingy allowing runs, 1st 9 then 10, but scored 11 & 18 for sweep.
'my God' also my 'thank God' game too with Koffee Kup breaking a 4-4 tie in 7th & holding off VFW for 1st win of season, 5-4! Things normalized in 2nd VFW up 24-10. Next best game, Pinch a Penny shutting down Allstate leaving winning run on in 7th for a 17-16 nail-biter, this after shutting them out 9-0. Was game 1's  2-1 GT win over Marrero's exciting or dull? Probably both (Green Thump remembering how to hit, 22-9 in 2nd). Twin Lakes' 3-1 win vs. Rental World was dull but they had an excuse, the sun on Field 3 was bright, not dull. No excuse in game 2 as the sun moved but baserunners didn't in another low-scoring TL win, 6-2.

'12/20/2019:  myGOD' was 2nd game of VFW vs Green Thumb after GT had taken 1st 15-6, moving league lead to 2 games. VFW up 15-14 after 6 scored 1 then held GT to only 1 leaving winning run on base for 16-15 win. Another nail-biter in 1st game win by Twin Lakes over Pinch a Penny as they held PaP to 1 in top of 7th for 12-12 tie getting 3 straight hits (Angel B, Mike C & Raul) in last ABs. Demoralized PaP then dropped 2nd 16-3. Allstate picked up forfeit win in 1st, then Nelson "drove in" Carlos as 9th player for Rental World to play game 2 only to lose it 11-5. Koffee Kup's moment of glory on Mon. was brief losing decisively to Marrero's 13-7 & 22-11
Field 1, Game 1:  Pinch A Penny 18 to 15 over Rental World; Game 2: Pinch a Penny 22 to 4.

Field 3, Game 1:  Allstate 5 to 4 over VFW; Game 2:  Allstate 6 to 5
Field 4, Game 1:  Koffee Kup 13 to 8 over Green Thumb (that's a strong Kup of Koffee); 2nd: GT 16 to 10
Field 1, Game 1: Green Thumb beats Allstate 11 to 3; Game 2: A-State falls short with 2 in 7th, 12-10.
Field 2, Game 1: Marrero's squeaks by Pinch a Penny 6-5; Game 2: PaP cries out for mercy 20-ZIP.
Field 3, Game 1: VFW  blows out Rental World 19-4;  Game 2: RW focused on playoffs losing 15-6.
Field 4, Game 1: Twin Lakes 14-10 over KKup; Game 2: KK returns favor w/ another 4 run win 16-12
Marrero's continues to play great ball w/10-8 win vs. GT, their 2nd loss in a row (2nd total) to under .500 teams
The Twins just get wins, shutting down Pinch a Penny with 10 runs over final 3 innings for 18-8 victory
Koffee Kup playing better, though hard to play well with only 9 players against top teams, losing to Allstate 9-4
VFW knocks out Rental World in 5 innings 17-2 as RW cries "Mercy" for the entire season.
Green Thumb avoids 1st 2-loss day doing enough to take Koffee Kup 16-11 (who had their 10th 2-loss day).
Twin Lakes with 2nd of their twin wins, 9-5 vs. Allstate; 2nd win vs. A-State after losing 1st 3 of season series.
Marrero's finishes off a great day with another 2 run victory - 12-10 against another top tier opponent, VFW.
How the @%!*# do you win 33-9?  Was 9-9 in 5th, when Pinch a Penny's offensive display along w/ RW offensive defense netted 24 runs,16 in 7th for historic drubbing. Not myGOD  but maybe IOS (inning of season).
WE  1/29/2020

----------------------
FR  1/31/2020
FR 1/31,  MO 2/3,  WE 2/5,  FR 2/7,  Mo 2/10
Slugfests between VFW & Pinch a Penny with despite a 7 run 7th, VFW winning 1st by 7, 22-15. In 2nd VFW tied it 16-16 in 6th but after PaP took 18-16 lead couldn't score. Allstate had slugfests but without Koffee Kup joining. KK more slug-like in 1-sided 16-6 & 14-2 sweep. Best match - Green Thumb & Twin Lakes, top 2 in top division, now tied for 1st. TL had 10th twin win on 1 more improbable game 2 comeback,16-9, scoring 10 in 7th w/top hitters their bottom of order. TL won 1st 12-10 in close back & forth-er & shhh, Marrero's over RW 12-1 & 15-1
Marrero's hot streak continued streaking past Koffee Kup 15-8, w/ consistent scoring & shutting KK out in last 3
Rental World scored 3 right away but Twin Lakes answered w/5 in bottom of 1st never looking back in 18-6 win
VFW scored 14 runs in first 3 innings on their way to a 17-4 shellacking of Pinch a Penny
Allstate scored 5 then 3 in 1st 2 innings but kept Thumbs down and out of reach in 11-8 victory
Marrero's shows no mercy in a 6 inning blowout of Rental World 21-6 as each team continues on their streaks
Allstate won 2nd of day 9-5 vs. VFW adding 2 more meaningless wins since divisional playoff vote also won
Most meaningful game also 9-5, with Green Thumb win to tie Twin Lakes for top spot & taking season series
Meaningless but most exciting as Kups down 9-4 then 10-9 to the Pinchers scored 2 in 7th to wom 11-10.
Allstate broke open 10-9 game with a Pomales drive to LC for a 5-run 7th, then held Marrero's to 0 for 15-9 win 2, 4, 6, 8 who do we appreciate? Rental World! Four 2-run innings was enough to hold off Koffee Kup 8 to 6.
Tight back & forth game with big 5-run response to Twin Lakes 4 runs in 4th by VFW for 8-7 lead in a 9-8 win.
Green Thumb adds insult to injury w/ 7 run 7th in a 21-6 thumping of Pinch a Penny achieving top league record
myGOD! See-saw slugfest. Twin Lakes matches a Marrero 5-run inning & 3x 3 runs, last 3 giving TL 22-21 win.
WAIT, a double myGOD. Rental World beats Green Thumb. That just beats all, don't it? RW 9-8, a 2-win day!
VFW down 6-5 after 2 to Koffee Kup, but 5 runs in 3rd and 3 singletons let them breeze to a 13-6 win.
Allstate up 19-15 till Pinch a Penny, who looked up at them all season, took revenge w/15-run 7th & 30-19 win

WHO'LL TAKE THE DIVISIONAL CROWNS? WELL, ALLSTATE CLINCHED IT AROUND NOVEMBER.  BUT IN RIVERA DIVISION THE 35TH GAME DECIDES IT. YET WHO REALLY WANTS 1ST WHEN IT MEANS MARRERO'S?

PLAYOFFS START FRIDAY, 10:30 JUST WHEN MOST OF THE TEAMS ARE HOBBLING AROUND, DECIMATED BY THEIR  INJURIES. MAYBE WE SHOULD TRY STARTING A SEASON WITH THE PLAYOFF GAMES INSTEAD.
